Catherine Breen grew up in New Jersey and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Mental Health and Human Services from Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio. While raising her family, she continued her education at the Pope Paul VI Institute, where she became a FertilityCare Practitioner and worked with couples in the San Diego area for 20 years.
Catherine’s passion for supporting individuals with developmental disabilities is deeply personal. Her oldest son, Thomas, has a developmental disability and is on the autism spectrum. As Thomas aged out of school-based and organized programs, Catherine recognized a significant gap in meaningful social opportunities for young adults like him. This need inspired her to found Stay Social, an organization dedicated to creating inclusive, enriching social experiences for neurodiverse individuals.
Catherine and her husband, Steve, have raised their seven children in Encinitas, California. In their free time, they enjoy going to the beach, running, and spending time with family and friends.

Her favorite part of working with Stay Social is spending time with the members, whose perspectives and life experiences have deeply influenced her at a young age.
